Minister of interior visit to Taraba shows how biass the federal govt has been-Tarabians cried out

Recently a team of fact finders lead by Lt General Abdulraham Danbazau Minister of interior were in Jalingo the Taraba State capital to see the Governor of the state Arch Darius in regards to the recent crisis that engulf the central part (Mambilla Plateau) of the state...
But it seems the visit didn't go down well with one man airing his view on his social media platform stating that the visit was uncalled for considering how one-sided it was .....

                                     He's views below
I do not make light the issues of the Mambilla Plateau, but I've been wondering why it is only in this very case that the BIG BOYS in the name of FG cared to intervene.
Early this year some part of Lau and Karim (I think) had serious crisis, no one came. For ages, Taraba Central and Southern Senatorial Zones including Bali, Wukari, Gassol, Ibi and Takum has been soaked in crisis, yet no intervention, at least, not of this magnitude. In fact, the most recent one is the one that engulfed Takum and Wukari LGA. This, to me, means some people are more represented than others... #My,Opinion#

Former Gov. Jolly Nyame condeles Gov. Ishaku on Suntai's death

The first Civilian Governor of Taraba State, Rev. Jolly Tavoro Nyame has described Governor Danbaba Danfulani Suntai as a rare gem who devoted his time to the upliftment of humanity in the State and the Country at large.
Former Governor Nyame said this when he paid a condolence visit to  Governor Ishaku in his office to commiserate with him on the death of the immediate past Governor of the State, Danbaba Danfulani Suntai who died in Orlando, Florida USA.
He described Late Danbaba Suntai as a Politician par excellence who played by the rules of the game and contributed positively to the strengthening of the polity in the State and the Country at large.
Rev. Nyame maintained that his developmental strides are visible in all the nooks and crannies of the State, saying he left a lasting legacy that would be remembered by future generations.
The first Civilian Governor remarked that, Danbaba Suntai was a priceless gift to the State and had impacted greatly on the lives of the people of the State and beyond.
Responding, Governor Darius Dickson Ishaku said Taraba has lost a great leader, who contributed significantly to the growth and development of the State.
Darius Ishaku stated that Late Suntai was a detribalised Politician and a Statesman who stood for the truth and gave equal opportunity to all Tarabans in all spheres of human endeavours.
He said he received the news of the death of the immediate past Governor with great shock and prayed for the repose of his soul, saying that death is a necessary end for every living being.
Governor Darius Ishaku used the opportunity to call on Tarabans to see this moment of grief as a period of imbibing peace, forgiveness and harmonious coexistence among the various tribes of the State, urging the people to always use dialogue as the last resort.

CAN and Muslim Council should Ensure Peace Returns to Sardaun-Gov. Ishaku

CAN and Muslim Council should Ensure Peace Returns to Sardaun-Gov. Ishaku

Taraba State Governor, Arc. Darius Dickson Ishaku has mandated the Taraba State chapters of the Christian Association of Nigeria CAN and the Muslim Council to ensure that peace returns to Gembu in Sardauna Local Government Area.

Governor Darius Ishaku gave the mandate yesterday in his office while meeting with them on ways to find lasting peace to the Mambila crisis, directing that the two religious bodies should urgently mobilise themselves to Gembu to preach and talk peace to the people.
Darius Ishaku maintained that the meeting became very imperative because, they are the most potent bodies that would be able to sincerely assist the State Government in ending the Mambila misunderstanding, particularly, between the Mambilas and the Fulanis.
He stated that, though the tension has subsided, there is need to urgently usher in peace, sanity and tranquility among the various tribes on the Mambila Plateau, explaining that most of the tribes are either Christians or Muslims and that their intervention will go a long in assisting the State Government.
The Governor told the two religious bodies that he was in Germany trying to market the potentials of the State in an International Conference, only to be informed that Mambila was on fire and many lives and property have been lost and destroyed.
Governor Darius Ishaku beckoned on the two religious bodies to as a matter of urgency, begin the process of preaching peace and to talk to them on the importance of mutual coexistence and the need to tolerate each other and dialogue whenever there is misunderstanding amongst them.
Darius Ishaku pointed out that we are living in an era where things are very difficult, saying that instead of them to channel their God given energies to doing things that would benefit them, the society and indeed the State, they are rather using it to maim and unleash harm on one another.
He lamented that not too long ago, there was crisis between Shomo and Jole over a fishing pond and now Mambila and Fulani over a fictitious alarm on kidnapping, stressing that the lack of unity and distrust among the various tribes in the State must be brought to an end as soon as possible.
The Governor remarked that people of the State are fond of politicising security issues, warning that the act must stop forthwith, pleading with the religious bodies to take the matter seriously by preaching and talking peace to their people.
Governor Darius Ishaku averred that people should be made to accept their fault whenever they go wrong, stressing that their  focus should be on encouraging love among neighbours and giving peace a chance to reign on the Mambila Plateau, calling on the people to join hands to explore the potentials that abound in the area.
In their the separate speeches, the Chairman Muslim Council, Mallam Usman Jauro Mafindi and the Representative of the Chairman of CAN, Rev. John Maina both agreed to work with the State Government to ensure that lasting peace returns to Sardauna Local Government Area.
They appreciated the State Government for finding them worthy to send them on the mission and stated that they will do their best to justify the confidence reposed in them.
They both lamented that, people that have lived together for ages will just one day take up arms against each other and said all avenues must be exploited to end the crises in every part of the State.
Usman Jauro Mafindi and John Maina appreciated the State Governor for always supporting the two religious bodies and assured him of their loyalty and support at all times, assuring that they are ready to serve the State whenever their services are needed.
The two religious bodies used the opportunity to commiserate with the State Governor and the people of the State, particularly the immediate families of former Governor Danbaba Danfulani Suntai and SSA Media and Publicity, Sylvanus Giwa who died recently.

Arsenal edging close to signing €55 million-rated Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette

Arsenal edging close to signing €55 million-rated Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette
Summarized News Update:

Arsenal are in advanced talks for, reports state, although no fee has yet been agreed.

With hopes of signing Monaco's Kylian Mbappe - a Real Madrid and Paris Saint-Germain target - fading, Arsenal manager Arsene Wenger hopes to convince another of Ligue 1's star forwards to play at the Emirates Stadium.

Lyon president Jean-Michel Aulas has confirmed talks have been held for Lacazette at a media conference introducing the signing of Mariano Diaz from Real Madrid, but said no deal has been reached.

"There are exchanges and it's true that Arsenal are pressing," Aulas told RMC. "But the moment has not come. I am not ready to give an agreement in the current conditions to Arsenal."

The Gunners are €4m away from Lyon's valuation of Lacazette, 26, and negotiations look set to continue over the coming days as Arsenal hope to seal the deal for the France international.

€30m Perisic ready to force his way to Man Utd

Summarized News Update:

Manchester United could still sign Ivan Perisic from Inter for their preferred price of €30 million despite the news the San Siro outfit are set to meet Financial Fair Play requirements.

The Nerazzurri believe they have managed to stave off sanctions by UEFA thanks to a number of smaller deals which have raised the €30m they needed by the June 30 deadline, cancelling out the immediate need to offload Perisic.

But the Croatian midfielder could yet force Inter into a corner by demanding a move, with United remaining on standby in the hope of making a swoop for far less than the Italians' €45m valuation.

And apparently, his new negotiator, Fali Ramadani, has been given orders to take a far more aggressive approach in helping the 28-year-old to make a move this summer, leaving United in a healthy bargaining position when it comes to a transfer fee.

Inter's continued struggles since Perisic's arrival at San Siro in 2015 have caused the player no small amount of frustration, with finishes of fourth and seventh ensuring the former European champions' absence from the Champions League extends to a sixth season.

Chelsea agree £29m fee with Roma for Germany defender Antonio Rüdiger

Summarized News Update:

Chelsea have agreed a fee with Roma worth a potential €38m (£33.3m) for Antonio Rüdiger, with the Germany defender expected to fly to London next week to complete a medical.

Roma had been holding out for €45m for a player they signed from Stuttgart last summer after he had impressed on a season-long loan. After rejecting Chelsea’s opening bid of €35m, Roma have accepted a package that means Chelsea pay an initial €33m (£29m) with an extra €5m (£4.3m) in bonus payments.

Rüdiger, who is primarily a central defender but can play at right-back, is expected to earn around €4m (£3.5m) a season. He is playing in the Confederations Cup, in which Germany face Chile in the final on Sunday.

Antonio Conte has been searching for defensive reinforcements despite last season’s Premier league title and identified the 24-year-old as his main target after discussions with the club’s technical staff.

IPOB Leader (Kanu’s) actions worse than that of northern youths –Makarfi
Summarized News Update

The Chairman of the Caretaker Committee of the Peoples Democratic Party, Ahmed Makarfi, has said the method of agitation being employed by the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, Nnamdi Kanu, is worse than that of the Coalition of Arewa Youth Groups.

Makarfi, who is a former Governor of Kaduna State, said although he was not in support of the ultimatum, Kanu’s approach was more infuriating than that of the northern youths.

When asked why the Arewa youths had not received enough condemnation, Makarfi said, “The northern boys are just press (sic) and they dispersed, period. I am not in support of what they did but I am talking of the manner of their action. Whereas Nnamdi Kanu and his people are consistently holding people to economic hostage and at a particular time, they held the South-East down for a day."

Benue state Governor Ortom said this while responding to questions from journalists in Abuja on Friday. He explained that the law took two years to be formulated, noting that inputs were received from all relevant stakeholders before its passage into law.

According to him, contrary to insinuations in some quarters, the law was not targeted at individuals or an ethnic group but formulated to protect law abiding herdsmen and farmers.

The governor said, “The anti-open grazing law is not targeted at anyone, tribe or religion. It is meant to improve business in the state and save lives and property of both the herdsmen and farmers. We have given everyone grace period of between now and November this year to get ranches for their livestock."

All industrial court’s decisions can be appealed —Supreme Court
Sumarised News Update

The Supreme Court on Friday put paid to the controversy on whether or not all the decisions of the National Industrial Court can be appealed. Before the Supreme Court’s judgment on Friday, some users of the NIC believed that only appeals on the grounds of breach of fundamental rights could be appealed to the Court of Appeal.

But a five-man panel of the apex court, in a majority decision of four against one, held that the Court of Appeal had exclusive appellate jurisdiction over all decisions of the NIC.

The apex court held, among others, that the jurisdiction of the Court of Appeal to hear and determine all civil appeals on decisions of the NIC was not limited to only fundamental human rights.

TMZ noticed that the company that owns the trademarks to Beyonce's and Jay-Z's names, recently filed paperwork to obtain the trademarks on those 2 names.

The trademarks ensure that nobody can sell products that bear those names for the free publicity.

The couple have been very tight-lipped about the new additions to their family.

Rumi is the name of a 15th century Persian poet; Sir, of course, is a title and honorific in many countries and cultures.

Breaking:President had a bitter quarrel with TV host

Breaking:President had a bitter querrel with TV host
Summarized News Update

The fallout from yesterday's ill-advised tweets regarding a TV host and his co-host fiancee continue. Duta readers will recall that Trump had choice words for a couple TV hosts who appear to be critical of him.

We will confess that the story has taken many turns since then, and we have been unable to keep up. We will also confess that the story leaves us cold. We have a President stooping to gossip about American citizens. We also have multi-millionaire TV hosts who could let this all go, but keep the feud going, because ... ratings⁉ We're not sure.

However, we have promised to bring you Trump news, this qualifies as Trump news, so we'll do our best to summaries.

After Trump's tweets yesterday, the TV hosts in question, Mika Brezinski and Joe Scarborough, wrote an op-ed in the Washington Post this morning titled, "Donald Trump is not well." Besides rebutting Trump's accusations as well as calling Trump's fitness into question, the article contained this bombshell  "This year, top White House staff members warned that the National Enquirer was planning to publish a negative article about us unless we begged the president to have the story spiked."

The President, never one to let poorly thought out tweets to lie fallow, responded with this, ""Watched low rated [Morning Joe] for first time in long time. FAKE NEWS. He called me to stop a National Enquirer article. I said no! Bad show."

To this, Scarborough, one of the TV hosts replied, "Yet another lie. I have texts from your top aides and phone records. Also, those records show I haven't spoken with you in many months. ... Why do you keep lying about things that are so easily disproven? What is wrong with you?"

Later in the day, New York magazine reported that, earlier this year Scarborough and Brzezinski found out that the National Enquirer (a tabloid that has been friendly to Trump) _ _was preparing a story about their affair. Scarborough texted with Trump son-in-law Jared Kushner about the story. Kushner apparently told Scarborough that he would need to personally apologize to Trump in exchange for getting the story killed.

CNN also reported that Scarborough kept his bosses at the TV channel in the loop on these discussions, and that they are ready to corroborate his version of the story.

This is where things stand (as of now). The President might get a hold of his phone any moment and tweet more! The TV show hosts have a show where they will say more. The media world, never one to let a media scandal lie, will report more!

But a little perspective: the President is a self-reported billionaire. These TV hosts are multi-millionaires. None of their lives will change as a result of this little tempest. In the meantime, the USA and the rest of the world will still have to deal with a tempestuous leader who seems to have little interest in policy. That' the real scandal.

Frightening yet encouraging tale of how Terry Gobanga was gang-raped on her wedding day'

When Terry Gobanga - then Terry Apudo - didn't show up to her wedding, nobody could have guessed that she had been abducted, raped and left for dead by the roadside. It was the first of two tragedies to hit the young Nairobi pastor in quick succession. But she is a survivor.
It was going to be a very big wedding. I was a pastor, so all our church members were coming, as well as all our relatives. My fiance, Harry, and I were very excited - we were getting married in All Saints Cathedral in Nairobi and I had rented a beautiful dress.
But the night before the wedding I realised that I had some of Harry's clothes, including his cravat. He couldn't show up without a tie, so a friend who had stayed the night offered to take it to him first thing in the morning. We got up at dawn and I walked her to the bus station.
As I was making my way back home, I walked past a guy sitting on the bonnet of a car - suddenly he grabbed me from behind and dumped me in the back seat. There were two more men inside, and they drove off. It all happened in a fraction of a second.
A piece of cloth was stuffed in my mouth. I was kicking and hitting out and trying to scream. When I managed to push the gag out, I screamed: "It's my wedding day!" That was when I got the first blow. One of the men told me to "co-operate or you will die".
close-up of Terry Gobanga
The men took turns to rape me. I felt sure I was going to die, but I was still fighting for my life, so when one of the men took the gag out of my mouth I bit his manhood. He screamed in pain and one of them stabbed me in the stomach. Then they opened the door and threw me out of the moving car.
I was miles from home, outside Nairobi. More than six hours had passed since I had been abducted.
A child saw me being thrown out and called her grandmother. People came running. When the police came they tried to get a pulse, but no-one could. Thinking I was dead, they wrapped me in a blanket and started to take me to the mortuary. But on the way there, I choked on the blanket and coughed. The policeman said: "She's alive?" And he turned the car around and drove me to the biggest government hospital in Kenya.
I arrived in great shock, murmuring incoherently. I was half-naked and covered in blood, and my face was swollen from being punched. But something must have alerted the matron, because she guessed I was a bride. "Let's go around the churches to see if they're missing a bride," she told the nurses.
All Saint's Cathedral is the national Anglican cathedral in Nairobi
All Saint's Cathedral is the oldest Anglican cathedral in Nairobi
By coincidence, the first church they called at was All Saints Cathedral. "Are you missing a bride?" the nurse asked.
The minister said: "Yes, there was a wedding at 10 o'clock and she didn't come."
When I didn't show up to the church, my parents were panicking. People were sent out to search for me. Rumours flew. Some wondered: "Did she change her mind?" Others said: "No, it's so unlike her, what happened?"
After a few hours, they had to take down the decorations to make room for the next ceremony. Harry had been put in the vestry to wait.
When they heard where I was, my parents came to the hospital with the whole entourage. Harry was actually carrying my wedding gown. But the media had also got wind of the story so there were reporters too.
I was moved to another hospital where I'd have more privacy. That was where the doctors stitched me up and gave me some devastating news: "The stab wound went deep into your womb, so you won't be able to carry any children."
Terry pictured this year
I was given the morning-after pill, as well as antiretroviral drugs to protect me from HIV and Aids. My mind shut down, it refused to accept what had happened.
Harry kept saying he still wanted to marry me. "I want to take care of her and make sure she comes back to good health in my arms, in our house," he said. Truth be told, I wasn't in a position to say Yes or No because my mind was so jammed with the faces of the three men, and with everything that had happened.
A few days later, when I was less sedated, I was able to look him in the eye. I kept saying sorry. I felt like I had let him down. Some people said it was my own fault for leaving the house in the morning. It was really hurtful, but my family and Harry supported me.
The police never caught the rapists. I went to line-up after line-up but I didn't recognise any of the men, and it hurt me each time I went. It set back my recovery - it was 10 steps forward, 20 back. In the end I went back to the police station and said: "You know what, I'm done. I just want to leave it."
Three months after the attack I was told I was HIV-negative and got really excited, but they told me I had to wait three more months to be sure. Still, Harry and I began to plan our second wedding.
Although I had been very angry at the press intrusion, somebody read my story and asked to meet me. Her name was Vip Ogolla, and she was also a rape survivor. We spoke, and she told me she and her friends wanted to give me a free wedding. "Go wild, have whatever you want," she said.
I was ecstatic. I went for a different type of cake, much more expensive. Instead of a rented gown, now I could have one that was totally mine.
In July 2005, seven months after our first planned wedding, Harry and I got married and went on a honeymoon.
Harry Olwande and Terry on their wedding day in July 2005

Twenty-nine days later, we were at home on a very cold night. Harry lit a charcoal burner and took it to the bedroom. After dinner, he removed it because the room was really warm. I got under the covers as he locked up the house. When he came to bed he said he was feeling dizzy, but we thought nothing of it.
It was so cold we couldn't sleep, so I suggested getting another duvet. But Harry said he couldn't get it as he didn't have enough strength. Strangely, I couldn't stand up either. We realised something was very wrong. He passed out. I passed out. I remember coming to. I would call him. At times he would respond, at other times he wouldn't. I pushed myself out of bed and threw up, which gave me some strength. I started crawling to the phone. I called my neighbour and said: "Something is wrong, Harry is not responding."
She came over immediately but it took me ages to crawl to the front door to let her in as I kept passing out. I saw an avalanche of people coming in, screaming. And I passed out again.
I woke up in hospital and asked where my husband was. They said they were working on him in the next room. I said: "I'm a pastor, I've seen quite a lot in my life, I need you to be very straight with me." The doctor looked at me and said: "I'm sorry, your husband did not make it."
I couldn't believe it.
Terry places a ring on Harry's finger
Going back to church for the funeral was terrible. Just a month earlier I had been there in my white dress, with Harry standing at the front looking handsome in his suit. Now, I was in black and he was being wheeled in, in a casket.
People thought I was cursed and held back their children from me. "There's a bad omen hanging over her," they said. At one point, I actually believed it myself.
Others accused me of killing my husband. That really got me down - I was grieving.
The post-mortem showed what really happened: as the carbon monoxide filled his system, he started choking and suffocated.
I had a terrible breakdown. I felt let down by God, I felt let down by everybody. I couldn't believe that people could be laughing, going out and just going about life. I crashed.
One day I was sitting on the balcony looking at the birds chirping away and I said: "God, how can you take care of the birds and not me?" In that instant I remembered there are 24 hours a day - sitting in depression with your curtains closed, no-one's going to give you back those 24 hours. Before you know, it's a week, a month, a year wasted away. That was a tough reality.
I told everybody I would never ever get married again. God took my husband, and the thought of ever going through such a loss again was too much. It's something I wouldn't wish on anybody. The pain is so intense, you feel it in your nails.
But there was one man - Tonny Gobanga - who kept visiting. He would encourage me to talk about my husband and think about the good times. One time he didn't call for three days and I was so angry. That's when it hit me that I had fallen for him.
Tonny and Terry Gobanga
Tonny proposed marriage but I told him to buy a magazine, read my story and tell me if he still loved me. He came back and said he still wanted to marry me.
But I said: "Listen, there's another thing - I can't have children, so I cannot get married to you."
"Children are a gift from God," he said. "If we get them, Amen. If not, I will have more time to love you."
I thought: "Wow, what a line!" So I said Yes.
Tonny went home to tell his parents, who were very excited, until they heard my story. "You can't marry her - she is cursed," they said. My father-in-law refused to attend the wedding, but we went ahead anyway. We had 800 guests - many came out of curiosity.
It was three years after my first wedding, and I was very scared. When we were exchanging vows, I thought: "Here I am again Father, please don't let him die." As the congregation prayed for us I cried uncontrollably.
A year into our marriage, I felt unwell and went to the doctor - and to my great surprise he told me that I was pregnant.
As the months progressed I was put on total bed rest, because of the stab wound to my womb. But all went well, and we had a baby girl who we called Tehille. Four years later, we had another baby girl named Towdah.
Terry and her daughters
Today, I am the best of friends with my father-in-law.
I wrote a book, Crawling out of Darkness, about my ordeal, to give people hope of rising again. I also started an organisation called Kara Olmurani. We work with rape survivors, as I call them - not rape victims. We offer counselling and support. We are looking to start a halfway house for them where they can come and find their footing before going back to face the world.
I have forgiven my attackers. It wasn't easy but I realised I was getting a raw deal by being upset with people who probably don't care. My faith also encourages me to forgive and not repay evil with evil but with good.
The most important thing is to mourn. Go through every step of it. Get upset until you are willing to do something about your situation. You have to keep moving, crawl if you have to. But move towards your destiny because it's waiting, and you have to go and get it.

Explosive Response to Beyonce's 'Lemonade- JAY-Z's Album '4:44'

Explosive Response to Beyonce's 'Lemonade- JAY-Z's Album '4:44'
Released barely two weeks after welcoming twins with Bey, Jay spends 4:44 meditating on his fame, wealth and experience as a black man in America. But before he gets to all that, he has a certain elevator fight to address.

Jay doesn't waste any time in airing his grievances, referencing his infamous scuffle with Solange only minutes into the album's first track Kill Jay Z, talking to himself about how he lost control that night and unexpectedly name-dropping '90s R&B singer Eric Benét.

"You egged Solange on, knowin' all along all you had to say you was wrong / You almost went Eric Benét, let the baddest girl in the world get away / I didn't even know what else to say. Never go Eric Benét / I don't even know what you woulda done, in the future, other (expletive) playing football with your son," he raps.

Next, Jay bares all on 4:44, an unflinchingly honest track where he addresses Beyonce head-on, apologizing to her for a litany of woes and indirectly referencing his alleged cheating.

"And if my children knew, I don't even know what I would do / If they ain't look at me the same, I would prolly die with all the shame / You did what with who? What good is a ménage à trois when you have a soulmate, you risked that for Blue?" he says.

President Buhari’s health status: Nigerian files lawsuit to compel senate to investigate

President Buhari’s health status: Nigerian files lawsuit to compel senate to investigate
A Nigerian man, Toyin Dawodu, has filed a lawsuit at the Federal High Court in Abuja, to compel the Senate to constitute a medical panel to investigate President Buhari's true state of health as well as determine if he is medically fit to continue as President of Nigeria.

In a statement dated June 28th, Dawodu said that there have been reports in some section of the media that President Buhari is in such a bad state that even his wife is not allowed to see him. He added that there are rumors that Nigeria is currently being run by a group of unelected bureaucrats and that there is a possibility that Buhari is being held by his handlers against his will in the UK.

According to Dawodu, Nigerians deserve to know his current status and whereabouts. He says he fears for Nigerians and the children yet unborn if the government continues to run this way.
Dawodu disclosed that he instructed his attorneys from Forthright Chambers and lawyers for Citizens Advocacy of Nigeria to file the action [FHC/ABJ/CS/508/2017] at the Federal High Court in Abuja a few weeks ago. Read his statement after the cut

IS NIGERIAN PRESIDENT BEING HELD AGAINST HIS WILL?
THE LAWSUIT FILED AT THE FEDERAL HIGH COURT IN ABUJA NIGERIA. CASE NUMBER FHC/ABJ/CS/508/2017
TO COMPEL THE SENATE OF NIGERIA TO CONSTITUTE A MEDICAL PANEL TO DETERMINE THE HEALTH STATUS OF PRESIDENT BUHARI.

Riverside, CA 6/28/17- A few weeks ago, I instructed my attorneys from Forthright Chambers and lawyers for Citizens Advocacy of Nigeria to file a lawsuit compelling the Nigerian Senate to constitute a medical panel to determine if President Buhari is capable of discharging his constitutional duties.

Several reports have indicated that the country is being controlled by a group of unelected bureaucrats whose motives may not align with the aspirations of most Nigerians.
Reports have also indicated that our elected President is in such a medical incapacitation that even his wife is not allowed to see him in his incapacitated state.

It is possible, that President Buhari is being held by his handlers against his will and Nigerians deserve to know his current status and his where about.
This Press release explains my rational for the lawsuit to all Nigerians and other well-wishers of Nigeria.

In 2014, I campaigned to elect then General Buhari to be elected President of Nigeria. Here's a link to the video I uploaded to YouTube as my support for his candidacy. goo.gl/P2EExJ
A full copy of the law suit can be found on my blog at www.amazingtoyin.blogspot.com (see below)
My admiration for President Buhari dates back to his first foray as head of state. In 1985, I expressed this admiration by contacting him through the Nigerian Embassy.
In my letter, to him and his administration, I outlined how he could make Nigeria a great nation economically by focusing on our strategic assets of both human and natural resources.
Unfortunately his administration was short lived.

Fast forward 2014. After three tries, he succeeded in becoming the head of state.
My support for him in the last election was based on my inclination that President Buhari can finally finish the job he started 30 years earlier.

Regardless of his current policy failures, I and millions of Nigerians are now convinced that the President, despite all his intentions, is incapable of discharging his duties. Therefore, he should resign or be forced to do so, by the Senate, or the executive council as prescribed in the Nigerian constitution.
The Nigerian electorate voted for Buhari as head of state.
Currently we have an acting President.
The problem with the current situation is that the acting president is not fully in charge of the country.

There is no proof that any elected official, including leaders of both houses of assembly have seen the President in the last several weeks.
There is no proof that even the vice President or any member of the cabinet of President Buhari has spoken to him in his current incapacitated state.
I love and respect President Buhari and I wish and pray fervently for God to give him strength to gain back his health.
But I love Nigerian more. I fear for my country, I fear for the future of millions of Nigerians both living and unborn.
Therefore, I cannot stand by and allow the current leadership vacuum that exists in out polity to continue.

There are several current agitations for the restructuring of Nigeria.
If Nigeria needs a strong leader, it is now. Unless a strong leader emerges that has the full authority of Nigerians, the country may descend into chaos.
Our elected leader is indisposed, due to no fault of his own.
Therefore, if we love our country, we must collectively urge our President to face his health issues and let Nigeria be led fully by a capable Vice President as prescribed by the constitution.
As it stands, the Vice President takes direction from the so called Cabal, who passes such instruction under the pretext that they come from the President.
No one can confirm the present condition of the President. As such, it is now incumbent on the elected members of the Nigerian Senate to stand up and be counted to save Nigeria in its hour of need.

I am also urging every Nigerian to impress upon their Senators to discharge their duty by constituting a medical panel as prescribed by the constitution to determine if President Buhari is capable of discharging his duty.
That is the basis of my lawsuit.
I love President Buhari and wish him speedy recovery, but I love Nigeria more.
May God bless all of us and bless Nigeria.
